Authored By: TrailCentral Fire Road Loop (CW) Description: This is a typical ride for most people that are first riding the mountain. Route starts at the western Green Mountain parking area, crosses over the C-470 bridge and splits left at the first intersection. This heads up the steep fire road and starts the loop in a clockwise direction. The fire road is ridden to the top, near the tower, and a singletrack split then descends to the eastern parking area. Singletrack on the south side of the mountain is then ridden back to the original trail split. The trail then returns to the parking area. Total distance for this ride is 7 miles. This is a good pre-season ride. It rarely gets too messy or snowy to ride and the fire road is a good way to knock the rust off the legs in the early part of the season.

Total vertical: ~5500 ft (so says the GPS, but I think it was more like 4500), Total time: ~3.5hrs, Total distance: ~20 miles.
